2025 Travel Events: Key Benefits of Attending

It’s always important for a travel agency to keep up with the trends, especially in the world of tech innovation. Staying on top of travel trends isn’t a bonus but a necessity. New popular destinations, travel restrictions, AI tools and travel preferences show that the industry is constantly evolving.

The tourism industry is likely to reach new heights with the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) predicting a jaw-dropping economic contribution of $11.1 trillion. Travel exhibitions and shows are the perfect way to stay ahead of the game. Events like ITB Berlin bring together industry leaders and travel tech pioneers. Travel agencies can get firsthand insights into what is going on in their industry. This refers both to the latest booking tools and new destinations.

Besides, it’s a way to introduce the services that the company provides by making connections and staying competitive. There are some top 2025 travel events that are a great way to introduce the company and gain valuable insights into today’s tourism market.

One of the most anticipated tourist events is the ITB Berlin 2025. The expo is set for March 4-6 and this year’s theme is “The Power of Transition Lives Here.”  It traditionally features thousands of exhibitors from different countries, including Armenia.  The last year’s figures speak for themselves – 5,600 exhibitors and 100,000 attendees.

Besides the expo part and numerous booths representing different countries, the convention will host over 400 international experts. They will share insights on the future of travel, sustainability, and technological advancements. This year’s convention introduces several innovative features designed to address the tourism landscape. AI is of course among key highlights. Focusing on the integration of AI in tourism and offering practical insights and applications is on the agenda. The expo will also explore the dynamics of corporate culture in the tourism sector, addressing conflicts and synergies that arise during transitions.

For the first time, all sessions this year across the four convention stages will be live-streamed, enabling global access and participation.

Levon Travel will be among the participants to showcase its Armenia tours and expertise in unique travel experiences.

One of the key events in the Middle East is the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

This year’s event will focus on the “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity” theme. For ATM 2025, participants can expect an expanded Travel Tech segment, with exhibitors increasing by 25% year-on-year. Last year’s event attracted 160 countries with Levon Travel among the participants.

Building upon the success of the 2024 edition this year the organizers again provide a dynamic platform for networking and exploring tourism innovation. ATM will also feature a comprehensive conference program. The organizers will focus on the sustainability of a tourism industry that is closely linked with global economic growth.

The Middle East market is important for Armenia. A significant development was the visa exemption for Armenian travelers to the UAE, effective February 1, 2024. Just a three-hour flight away from Dubai, the Armenian agency can capture this market with mountains, rich wine culture and delicious cuisine. Local travel agencies have a fantastic opportunity to promote Armenia as a top destination for Middle Eastern tourists.

Tourism Trends

In 2025, the tourism industry is experiencing several transformative trends. First comes AI with its significant role in travel planning and personalized recommendations. There’s a growing emphasis on sustainable travel, with tourists aiming to minimize their environmental footprint. This includes choosing eco-friendly accommodation and engaging in activities that support local communities.

Avoiding overcrowded destinations and unique experiences as well as so-called wellness tourism is in the spotlight. The reason is people work too much and face burnout, so they want to relax and focus on self-care. These trends reflect a more conscious and personalized approach to travel and they are on the agenda of most 2025 travel events.
